On April 5th 2025 I’m going to run 100 miles (Continuously) from Oxford to Cambridge, why? because I sTILL can.
I will be setting off from the John Radcliff Hospital and making my way to Banbury, cutting across to Milton Keynes, on to St Neots and finishing in Cambridge 100 miles later! And with your generosity I hope to raise as much money as possible – to help find a cure for this horrible condition.
I haven’t run a 100 mile distance before in a one off run, its a little different to the multi week running that I did for JOGLE and L2B. With that said I remain determined to finish it, even with Parkinson’s slowly tightening its grip on me.
I will be ably supported by Nicky, driving our support vehicle along with Derek, Steph and Craig running the full 100 miles. Anybody is welcome to join me, whether its 1 mile 50, or 100.
Meanwhile my training has been delayed due to a broken wrist caused by a fall when running.
All going well I hope to be back running by the end of September.
Why? Because I still can.
Look out for my new book “BECAUSE I STILL CAN” It’s a real life story, that follows my journey from a life threatening trauma, running JOGLE and London 2 Barcelona, a combined 71 marathon’s available through amazon
